Friday Favorites: The Run Edition

Today, it's all about favorites! And as you all know, running is my FAVORITE. So I decided to share a few of my current run faves.

I'm once again linking up with the Friday Five. A special thanks to the DC Trifecta Bloggers (Courtney from Eat Pray Run DC, Mar from Mar on the Run, and Cynthia from You Signed Up For What?!) for hosting this link up! Make sure you check out their blogs as well :)

Oiselle Wazelle Halter - This brand new spring/summer style from Oiselle is the perfect blend of style and function. I recently tested the Wazelle Halter during an 8 mile speed workout and it held up great. No chafing or sagging and amazingly it didn't show sweat marks! Plus, I love the open back - just a little bit of exposed skin helped me feel cooler during my workout.

Saucony Breakthru Shoes - I've been looking for a new pair of trainers for awhile and these Saucony Breakthrus look like a great option. From the description they sound similar to my favorite Kinvaras so I'm looking forward to trying on a pair at Performance Running Outfitters, my favorite MKE running store!

Sparkly Soul Stardust Headband - I've tried many brands of headbands over the years but the ones that work the very best are from Sparkly Soul. While every other brand I've tried either stretches out in one or two wears, slips, doesn't fit properly, etc., these headbands hold up and have never caused problems during a workout or race. While I already have several colors and styles, I'm absolutely loving the new Stardust Headband, which is part of the brand's new Princess Collection. So cute!!

Nuun Energy Cherry Limeade - Sometimes you need a little extra boost mid-workout and Nuun Energy Cherry Limeade tabs get the job done. These tabs are also great if you're craving a refreshing drink at any time!

TRX - Although not a specific running product, I believe TRX at the Downtown YMCA is going to help take my running to a new level. When the time was changed for my beloved kettle bell classes, I decided to sign up for TRX instead and so far it's been great! It challenges different sets of muscles and will be great for building core strength.

Now it's your turn! I want to know: What are your current run favorites?

    1. I love FlipBelt! I use one during longer runs - the best way to carry stuff while running :)

  2. I'm not running right now (injured), but my favorite running-related things are Cherry Limeade Nuun, Feetures no-show socks, and Oiselle Distance shorts (the best shorts for training for or running a marathon).

    1. Ha, you just named three of my favorites! I love Feetures and also can't buy enough Distance Shorts. Those things are the best!

  3. LOVE that Nuun Energy! Great flavor choice. My current go to is the fruit punch though. I just got a 4 pack of tubes the other day! I need to do some Oiselle shopping. I know I say this all the time but they have the cutest clothes! And I think you just gave me an idea of another pair of shoes I want to try. My husband is going to be so mad haha! Have a great weekend, lady!

    1. I love that it's low impact but still really works all the running muscles. Plus, it's more fun than doing the work with weights by myself :)

  6. I love cherry limeade Nuun! It's my second favorite behind the Wild berry energy! I've been curious about the Wazelle halter! It looks so cute on you! I'm hoping it comes out in more colors because I'm pretty sure I have every fresh green item they make!

    1. Haha, I love Fresh Green! I think the halter also comes in Navy - and maybe will come in more colors once summer hits. I've yet to try Wild Berry - sounds delicious!

  8. I love all things Nuun! I used TRX as my preferred cross training method when I was training for a marathon back in 2013. I really loved it! This is a good reminder to give it a whirl again and to keep things fresh!

    1. It's pretty awesome :) Although I can't guarantee no sweat marks once the weather heats up to the 80s and 90s!

  10. Ooo I love the look of those shoes! I need to give Nuun another try I think. I tried Tangerine Lime I think it was? And I didn't like it, but I've heard people rave about the Watermelon and I love Cherry Limeade flavor, so I need to look for these next time :) My current running faves are the performance long sleeves from GoneForARun. They're not the best for keeping warm because they tend to fall off the shoulder a bit, but they are perfect and lightweight for a day when it's not super cold out, but for when a little more than a shor

    1. Those sleeves look super cute! I love armwarmers and sleeves because they're so easy to have on when a little extra warmth is needed but also easy to push down or take off once warmed up!

  11. I really need to try Nuun sometime, everyone raves about it, and that flavor sounds pretty good:)
I guess my #1 fav is the running outfit I got for my birthday, its made running in cold weather, fashionably much warmer:)
